01 The store

Small town, full yard.

Mountain Hardware and Lumber has been on this corner since 1976, owned and operated by the Jazwiecki family. Cory Jazwiecki took over the store in January 2020 — the third generation to run it.

It is a big lumber yard for a town this size, a hardware store with real depth on the shelves, and a rental department that carries most of what a weekend project or a job site needs. We are open year round, and we have never been the kind of place that makes you find it yourself.

Eighty-eight pieces of equipment, ten categories, one phone call.

Some tools are worth owning. Most are not. If you need to move a pile of dirt we rent a Bobcat; if you are cutting in a water line we rent a trencher; if you are laying carpet we rent the stretcher and the knee kicker.

We will show you how to run it before you leave the lot, so the job gets done efficiently and safely.

Delivery, roof-top drops and free estimates.

We take delivery seriously — on time, and with your materials undamaged when they reach the site. Because we are closer to most of these projects than the stores in the larger cities, we do not have to charge as much to get it there.
